Check Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for Existing Recalls
Modern motorcycles have never been more reliable but BMW Motorrad, Ducati and Triumph continue to track and address issues that may arise as riders rack up millions of miles around the world. When one of these manufacturers identifies a potential problem with a component of a motorcycle, they may issue a recall or service campaign to address and resolve the problem at no cost to the consumer. We have seen recalls on relatively minor (verifying torque on small fasteners) to major (replacing engines) stuff and we give a ton of credit to BMW, Ducati and Triumph for dealing with these issues more proactively than ever before.
If you provide us with your bike’s VIN, our Service Advisors will manually review service records on file with the manufacturer of your motorcycle. If your bike has an open recall or campaign (according to OEM records), our Service Advisors will contact you to setup a time to get the bike to our location so we can complete repairs. Work associated with recalls and service campaigns will be performed at no cost to you the consumer but in certain circumstances we may have to hang on to your motorcycle overnight. Our Service Advisor can give you an idea of the work involved and how long it will take after they’ve run your VIN and gotten a full picture of what needs to be done.
When you’re bike is in for recall work, it can be a convenient time to have scheduled maintenance or other work done on your motorcycle. Please let our Advisors know if there is any work you’d like to be done when your bike is in the shop for a recall or service campaign. You will be responsible for the cost of the additional work but we’ll look for ways to save you money where we can by eliminating expense for any work that crosses over with the recall.
Fill out and submit the form below to begin the process and a member of our Service Department will get back to you shortly with specifics about any recall or service campaign work your bike may need.
